Touch a Fleet of Trucks at the Carroll County 4H Fair
On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, the Flora Community Club will host our annual Touch a Fleet of Trucks event at the Flora Park from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The event is part of the Carroll County 4H Fair activities during the week. Tuesday is “Fish Fry Night,” and we expect a good crowd.
If you have participated in this event with us in the past, thank you for helping to create a fun and educational family day for area children. Please consider helping us again this year.
If you have not participated in this event before, please allow me to give you a brief description of what it is about. We enlist participation from every vehicle of children’s curiosity that we can think of such as race cars, emergency vehicles, farming, excavation, military, semis, lifeline helicopter, etc… The vehicles are all parked at the Midway in the Flora Park. Families come and the kids are allowed to climb in and check out the vehicles up close, ask questions about the vehicle’s purpose, blow the horns and so forth.
Kids are intrigued and excited to check out equipment that they normally would not be allowed to get close to. Many of the parents enjoy it just as much as the kids do.
The purpose of this event is two-fold. First, it promotes family fun time and is educational as well. Second, it is an opportunity for local businesses to interact with the community and children, and let people see the businesses that foster our local economy.
You are receiving this letter because we think that you could really enhance our event and we hope you will consider giving us part of your day to help create a fun filled day for the kids in our community. If you would like to help us out on this fun filled day please fill out and return the enclosed commitment form.
