2015 Annual Christmas Parade a Snowy Success

The 2015 Annual Flora Christmas Parade was held on Saturday, November 21, 2015.  Thirty-eight entries walked the parade route in the “North Pole Fantasy” themed event.  We even had an appearance of snow to complete the effect.  It was a winter wonderland sponsored by the Flora Community Club and led by this year’s Grand Marshall Pat Meade.

The Parade Winners were:

  • Best Motorized Group – Flora Volunteer Fire Department
  • Best Description of the Theme – Scout Troop 109
  • Best Float – Day of Grace
  • Best Walking Group – Flora Lions Club
  • Most Entertaining – Carroll FFA
  • Biggest Giver to the Toy Drive – Valley View Baptist Church.

We want to send a huge Thank You to everyone that participated and to those that stood in the snow to enjoy the parade.

What time is it? 15 minutes from Cookie Hour!

That’s right… it’s time for our annual Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough Sales! All proceeds used to fund scholarships for Carroll Students.

Chocolate Chip, Cranberry Oatmeal, Snickerdoodle, Mint Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Butter Sugar, Triple Chocolate Chunk,  Oatmeal Raisin, Peanut Butter… the list goes on!

Each tub of  contains approximately 36 pieces of frozen, perfectly-portioned chocolate chip cookie dough. The pieces of cookie dough are ready to bake — no need to thaw — and you can bake up just two, or a dozen. The rest will keep fresh in your freezer for up to a year. Because the dough is frozen, there is no need for added preservatives and chemicals, so the taste is better than home-made. The impossible perfection of texture and taste is the only thing that might give away the truth that while they were baked at home, you didn’t make a mess of your kitchen to produce them.

You can also order pre-baked, frozen Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake and Double Chocolate Chip Brownies (come in aluminum sheet pans with resealable lids). Just thaw and serve!

Don’t delay – Sales end October 12th!

Items are $17 each this year and will be delivered before Thanksgiving. Payment is due upon ordering.

Order forms are available here: 2015 Otis Spunkmeyer Order Form or at The Flower Shoppe.
